“EXPEDITIONS & PROJECT PLANNING WORKSHOP”
NORFED ARE A BSAC BRANCH (2602).
IS BEING RUN BY NORFED / BSAC JOINTLY
We asked Andy Hunt BSAC Expeditions Officer if he could come up with a plan that would suit both BSAC & Norfed and he said yes.
We jointly thought it would be good thing to ask the “Three Regional Coaches” Samantha Clark (North West Region – John Barton Yorkshire Region – Dave Woodwood North East Region if they would like to be involved as it was going to be a great opportunity for the nothern clubs to meet them all and get to know them, again they all agreed.
We also asked Kevin & Mark of “High Ball” fame, would they round off the days workshop with
One of the overriding aims of Norfed since 1958, has always been to draw in members from other diving disciplines to join us on diving “Expeditions and Project” and the “Advanced Diving Group” as well as BSAC Branches and their members.
We feel the workshop will be particularly helpful to the smaller clubs who perhaps don’t have the expertise or equipment for adventure in their clubs and just want the chance to get out there and do it. With the excitement and enthusiasm, we will generate on the day it will give that confidence to drive their clubs and to embrace what planning is all about. With all the collective skills we have and through our anecdotal experiences in BSAC as well as the history of organising diving expeditions/project planning there on the day, they will all be able to take this knowledge away with them.
We sincerely feel that this “Expedition and Project Planning” workshop will give a great opportunity to people to meet their Regional Coaches as well as some of the more senior and well respected members, that have over the years pushed BSAC and Norfed to where it is today, giving and enabling them to interact with peers from other clubs and diving disciplines as well.
